What's a fella to do?

As I mentioned earlier, I'm leaving on a jet plane and heading to New York to visit Kat. I'm going to be in the city starting in the afternoon of March 4th and leaving fairly early in the day on March 11th. The tickets have been bought and I have a fairly good idea of where my head will be resting while I'm there (just as long as I don't drive Kat crazy while I'm there). Now I merely need to figure out how to occupy my time. The only touristy thing I'm terribly interested in doing is viewing the city from atop the Empire State Building. Jen has suggested a visit to Barcade amongst a handful of other things that have already fallen out of my head (a hint that she should repost them here). Oh My Rockness doesn't yet list any shows that I'm super interested in aside from MAYBE Dengue Fever.

So I turn to you, oh worldly LJ friends. What should I make a special effort to do/see while in NYC? This trip will probably be on the cheaper side of life unless I've gotten my tax return back by then, so seeing expensive Broadway shows will probably not be on the table. Also, I've got an ugly mug. Trendy bars will only let me in on account of any pretty ladies that accompany me, if I'm lucky. But really, all suggestions are welcome.
