Finally heard back from iPodResq about the pod. The logic board on it needs to be replaced and will cost $100. Not too bad. It'll be another $27 to have them upgrade the battery on it, however the hard drive cannot be upgraded. According to the tech, the 3rd gen firmware won't work with a larger drive. All in all, under $150 for it all, which I don't think is too shabby.
