A lot of new people have added me recently. You'll pardon me if I don't add you all right away. It's tough for me to keep up with the people I'm already reading, much less new people that I don't know anything about. As I get time, I'll skim your journals and see if I've an interest in reciprocating. You're more than welcome to keep me on your friends lists, of course. I'm not one of those fascist LJers (I'm a wholly different type of fascist).
This gloomy weather has been the perfect setting for re-reading High Fidelity. I'm tempted to burn off a disc of moody folksy stuff (I'm thinking some Beck, Bob Dylan, Buck 65, El-P's "High Water", some of my live Counting Crows stuff, blah blah blah) and finding someplace to park my car and veg out. I forgot that this is a good book to read while in a state of emotional distress about your life. Any source of catharsis is welcome these days.
Plans for the weekend are non-existant so far. I need to fill out my paperwork for the new job (and probably pester Dave at some point to find out his suggestion of clothing for Monday's orientation at the downtown office since the paperwork is vague as to how much nicer I should dress there as compared to where I'll be working, though they insist on telling me I should dress nicer.) Cheating Kay is playing some coffee house out on College tomorrow night, but I haven't convinced myself that I should call around to find someone to go.
Sorry about all those <hr> tags early. I felt like being obnoxious.
