No one hears me sing this song...

Last night was spent at a party at Mason's house. Occasionally I have these bizarre dreams where I'm hanging out someplace with seemingly random people that I've known over the years. The place is usually an amalgamation of a number of places, or it's just a large room with a mish-mash of mismatched furniture. Last night felt like one of those dreams. The main floor of Mason's house has a back room that's actually a room, a tiny kitchen/dining room, and a large living room with rock and concrete walls, a large wood stove in the center, with a lot of non-matching furniture. There I was sitting around drinking with Marlena, Robert Jones, Luke & Jackie, Mason & Carla, and a bunch of random people I'd never met before. It felt just like one of those bizarre dreams, especially with how well I seemed to get along with Luke & Jackie (there's a history of mutual stand-offishness between us). Mason ended up passed out with his head next to a vomit can by 11. We stuck around until around 1:30, then headed out for some Wyandotte Cafe love. All in all, it was a good time. My brain just finds it surreal.

Mason's daughter Natalie is more than a year old. She looks too much like her dad. It's scary.

I'm supposed to be hanging out with Heather & Girard tonight, but I haven't heard from them. I am oh so excited about seeing them!!!1!!111! </sarcasm> These days I just don't have the patience to deal with her. Everytime I talk to her, she starts a fight with me over something childish and stupid, leaving me wondering why I bother anymore. Whenever she comes to town, she expects me to drop whatever I'm doing to spend time with her, regardless of what I've got planned. If I tell her I've got plans, she gets whiny and pouty about my lack of interest in spending time with her. I'd accept that sort of behavior if she seemed like she truely missed me or something, but no, she acts like a little kid who you've just stolen candy from. It's reaching the point that I'm ready to just write her off. Have I talked to her about it? No. Frankly, this isn't the sort of behavior I should be expected to have to "talk" to her about. People don't typically take well to being told they're behaving childishly, especially crazy girls. Blah blah blah. I just needed to vent, I'm done (for) now.
