So the other day I mentioned that I'll be heading to Miami in November. As much as my job drives me crazy sometimes, occasionally it pays off. My boss informed me last week that there is a national conference for the MS Society going on in Miami and that she'd like for me to attend to take notes over the IT info they have to share at the conference. My spare time will be spent lounging at the beach, catching up on my reading and (hopefully) writing short stories. This has been what's gotten me through the last week of work (and the realization that I'll be getting a PHAT paycheck on Monday). In theory, I've got around 20 or so hours of overtime coming my way. uNf! Anyway, the chances of me getting to go are about 90%. I'm crossing my fingers.
Speaking of catching up on my reading, part of me thinks I should use this as a suggested reading list. Of course, I have no interest in reading the Goosebumps series, no need to read The New Joy Of Gay Sex (I'm fine with the lifestyle, I just don't plan to partake of it), and I've found Waldo enough times in my life, thanks. However, it's been forever since I've read A Wrinkle In Time, I never got around to reading The Outsiders, and I'd really like to add American Psycho to my shelf.
...97.3 AND 96.5 are playing Coldplay's The Scientist at the same time. It makes it hard to tune into the station properly on a cheap radio with a dial if two stations so close to each other on the dial are playing the same thing. I think this is a sign to stick to mp3s today.
