Bizarro event of the day (so far): I'm driving down 18th Street Expressway this morning on my way to work when an accident happens about 50 feet in front of me. No big deal, I wasn't caught in it, a simple fender bender. There's a cop sitting there on his motorcycle doing radar, so there wasn't even a need to call the police. I slip past the accident and continue on my way to work. I notice in my rear-view mirror that the photographer from the AP was behind me in traffic. He proceeded to follow me most of the rest of the way down to my office, turning off just before my turn to get to work.
Annoyance of the day: I've spent every moment of this morning fixing the new guy's mistakes. I suspect I'll be spending the next 3 weeks cleaning up his mistakes. Blah.
What's keeping me going today: Tonight I'm going up to Lawrence to spend the evening with Jamie. It's bittersweet, however, because there won't be time for us to see each other for another week. C'est la vie. My mom needs to get her car fixed so we can end the car sharing. Or someone needs to win the lotto and buy me a new car because they love me. ;)
