I'm amazed at the staying power that Penny Arcade has managed in regards to being funny. It's as though they've found some vein in the earth that oozes forth a mysterious yogurt goo that not only re-energizes their funny, but increases it to superhuman levels. Background to this particular comic: the American Greetings corporation threatened to sue PA for a comic they did awhile ago that featured Strawberry Shortcake, the cartoon character from the 80's (apparently they own the copyright to it). Since parody is such a fickle thing these days, what with corporations getting their way most of the time in the court systems because they can afford the huge lawyer fees, they conceded defeat instead. Hence this comic. I like that the art in their comics are so simple, and yet you can feel that intense nazi vibe from the woman from just what little bit of her face you see. It doesn't get any classier. ;)
The Russians take "Scared Straight" to a whole new level. Personally, I'd have found it to be the best museum visit ever when I was that age. Maybe that says something about me...
I don't mind that they cycle nude (especially since I don't live in Seattle), but wouldn't that be a little painful? Maybe it's just me.
Wait, people actually care about Madonna still? I thought she was passe like eating a candy bar with a knife and fork. Man, now I've got to start carrying a knife and fork again. Related.
