spent the evening at heather's house watching movies with her and Dan. good times had. she heads back to school at the end of the week. whip out the vcr remote, hit pause, 3 months later we unpause it for a few weeks before hitting pause again until summer. i guess it's part of growing up, putting your friendships in stasis until it's convenient for you to enjoy each other's company. this is the third summer now that we've had to go through this and i'm still not used to it. it's like losing the use of your pinkies for several months. there's this phantom of something lost haunting you at the back of your mind that you can't really put your finger on. i don't know how to properly explain. <insert sean's lack of eloquence here>

today, catching up on stuff at the office in preparation for my vacation that starts thurday. i'll be off starting Aug. 29th and come back Sept. 6th. I'll probably be dropping by the office periodically anyway, just to make sure my bosses hair isn't on fire, but I'll be mostly hanging out at home relaxing.
