I did a horrible thing to that girl...

And now, a brief weekend update.

Friday night: I don't actually recall what I did Friday night. It seems like I came home and was a bum, but there's no telling for sure.

Saturday: I know I was a bum all day Saturday. Eventually I cleaned myself up and headed to Lawrence. Brandon and I grabbed a bite to eat and then went to the Margot & The Nuclear So & So's show. The opening act was alright, though she never did say her name clearly and you could tell what artist she was listening to when she wrote each of her songs. Aside from not-awesome songwriting talent, she was good. Then the So & So's came out and rocked the tiny little dump. My favorite part of their set was the percussionist. On top of having a drummer, there was a wiry little guy playing various percussion instruments, including a random piece of sheet metal that had a cymbal sitting on it. He played the crap out of that random piece of sheet metal. For the final song of their set, in the midst of a loud cacophony, he kicked over the sheet metal/cymbal set, nearly clipping Brandon with it. We laughed heartily. Excellent band.

Sunday: Ran some random errands, then caught Clerks 2 with Brandon. Standard Kevin Smith film. If you enjoy his standard movies, you'll enjoy it. If you can't stand dick and fart jokes, then why are you considering seeing a Kevin Smith movie?
