*grumbles* Topping the list of things I don't like about my job: getting stuck with random tasks that are completely non-related to my job. Case in point: they are interviewing for an administrative assistant position to replace a woman who left us two weeks ago. My boss usually interviews these people to see what sort of computer experience they've had and to see if their competent enough to learn how to use our database system. She apparently hasn't made it back in this afternoon, so unless she shows up in the next 20 minutes, I'm going to have to interview some random schmuck. It'd help if I had some forewarning beyond "can you interview this person in about 20 minutes?" Maybe some information about what aspects of that position are going to be phased out (the person in it before was tracking things in an Access database, but I don't know if that's going to be continued), what aspects are going to be added to it, blah blah blah. Data. I need data to do things properly. *shakes his head*
I need to do something mindlessly entertaining, take a few days off, find a lap to curl up in, or some combination of the three. Really, I just need to win the lotto so I can sleep for a week. The first three would help though.
