toys in the attic, rats in the cellar...

I still find this phenomenon disturbing, regardless of how insensitive it makes me seem. I can understand it, but it doesn't make it any less strange. Still, it's not nearly as disturbing as people who take pictures of the corpse at a funeral.

Of course, I guess if you intend to keep your dead in a cryogenics tube, maybe it works like a before photo for when science can resurrect the dead (or Jesus, ya never know).

"Pardon me, would you like me to tell you your future? Of course I have to be touching your ass..."

Nothing is more inspiring in the morning than a daily quote with your coffee. I like how they say they've "instituted controls to ensure that an event like this cannot occur again". What, did he throw away their only copy of "Fascist Quotes Through The Ages"?

Come on now, we all know Hasselhoff dips into the sauce because he realizes how pathetic his career has become. Meanwhile, KITT went on to have a successful career as an investment banker.

And finally, George would like to remind you to do as he says, not as he does.

i am the very model of a modern major general...

so i wander into the kitchen here at the office (yes, i'm still at the office at 5:45pm) and i see a stack of concert tickets clipped to the fridge. i stop for a moment and read the sign below them that says "Free Tickets!!!" and gape for a moment. then i saw the poster above them and actually read what the tickets were for. Blondie. at "sandstone". i don't know which is the worse punishment, seeing Blondie or going to a concert with the type of people who would see Blondie at an outdoor venue in this heat. this has got to be the best joke someone has played on us all year.

there's something very disturbing about hearing a reviewer on NPR give Grand Theft Auto 3 rave reviews, all things considered. i think they control the horizontal and the vertical...
