the united states has to be the most tribal natured country left in the world. at first you think me to be a fool, but think about it. what is a gang? a tribe of young men staking out their territory. and sports teams? opposing tribes fighting for supremecy. our tribal nature is artificial, as is everything else in america. or rather, we have replaced our genetic call to be tribal with what we can scrounge up. whether it's gangs or sports teams or different "teams" in a major corporation, we have a need as humans to gather together with like individuals. we also have a need to prove we're better than others. that genetic need to be the best so that you can procreate with the female of your choice. unfortunately, in our society, we haven't grown past that need for superiority yet. look to europe. they are much more laid back than americans. certainly, they have their sense of nationalism and a sense of national pride. their competitive nature has been moved from fighting for superiority amongst themselves to proving international superiority. reminds me of something someone told me the other day...the cold war was over the day the golden arches rose over moscow. it's so sad because its true. in the competition between the us and russia, we ultimately won when we built a mcdonalds within moscow. or maybe we won during the early 90's when the show "Head Of The Class" had an episode where all the kids went to russia on a field trip. you never know... :)

I forgot where i was going with all of this...oh well, just something to ponder....

i need a life. lol

and thus the penguins left the U.N. in disgust. their battle for equal rights for all pencils, yellow or otherwise, had failed. for it is not up to the world to distinguish pencils from one another strictly due to their race. it is of the opinion of the penguins that we shall all judge the pencils on merit alone. i see their shaving cream, though do not completely disagree.
