This article from CNN disgusts me in that it makes it sound like people with Down Syndrome are a cute breed of puppy. I'm sure the quotes from the families they interviewed have been taken out of context, so I'm not going to go so far as to say that they're pretty horrible people (I'm sure they're fabulous people if they're willing to adopt handicapped children), but I find it disturbing that this article was allowed to run in the fashion that it was written. |
